Submersible Pump Cable Manufacturers

A submersible pump is only as good as the cable feeding it power, and that's the exact standard Radilite, manufactured by Ambica Cables, builds every submersible pump cable to meet. Our cables are supplied across India for borewell and tube-well pumps, drinking water schemes, mine dewatering, construction site pumping, and general industrial water supply, and every coil is engineered to handle years of continuous water contact, abrasion against the casing wall, grease and oil exposure, and repeated flexing without the insulation or conductor degrading.

Submersible pump cable deals with a genuinely harsh combination of stresses — constant immersion, grit and sand abrasion, and a heavier starting current than most electrical wiring ever sees, since submersible motors draw a real surge the moment they kick on. A cable that isn't specifically built for that combination doesn't fail outright at first. It fails slowly: resistance creeps up, the motor works harder to compensate, and the whole system runs hotter than it should until something finally gives, usually the motor itself rather than the cable. Our Submersible Pump Cable is built to avoid that slow decline, not just pass a factory test on day one.

These cables are made for direct electrical connection to submersible pump motors, using non-toxic, fire-resistant PVC insulation over electrolytic grade copper. The PVC sheath is formulated to keep water from working its way into the conductor over years of submerged use, which is really the whole game with submersible cable — the failures that matter most are the slow, invisible ones, not the dramatic ones.

Why Choose Us for Submersible Pump Cable

As a long-standing submersible pump cable manufacturer, we've built our range around the actual installation conditions rather than a lab ideal. The gap between a pump body and the borewell casing is narrow, the wire has to survive being lowered and raised repeatedly for servicing, and the environment it sits in — water, grit, occasional oil contamination near industrial sumps — doesn't forgive shortcuts. We shape and size our cable specifically around those constraints.

Our conductors use 99.95% pure bare copper, keeping resistance low and current flow consistent even across longer borewell runs, where voltage drop becomes a real concern past 150–200 feet of depth. We supply in bundles and 100-metre lengths, across sizes from 1.0 sq. mm to 25 sq. mm, covering everything from a small domestic pump through heavy three-phase agricultural and industrial motors. For installations where a flat profile is needed to fit a narrow casing, our submersible flat cable range covers that construction, and for single-phase or round-wire jobs, see our submersible electrical wire range.

Every stage of production, from copper drawing to insulation extrusion, is watched closely by our team, and we use bright annealed pure bare copper conductors paired with a submersible-grade PVC compound rather than a repurposed general-purpose insulation. If you're specifying cable for a pump installation and want something that will actually still be working in five years, reach out and we'll help you get the sizing right.

Sizing matters more here than in almost any other wire category we manufacture, because getting it wrong is expensive to fix. Undersizing the conductor for the motor's horsepower and the installation depth leads to voltage drop, which makes the motor work harder and run hotter than it should, shortening its life well before the cable itself would have failed. We'd rather spend a few minutes on the phone confirming your motor's phase, horsepower, and depth than have you reorder a size larger after the first installation underperforms.

We formulate our own PVC compounds in-house from carefully selected ingredients rather than using a generic mix, which gives our submersible pump cable genuinely strong heat-resistant properties alongside the tensile strength needed to survive the mechanical stress of repeated lowering and raising during pump servicing.

Our cables carry strong insulation resistance and volume resistivity, which keeps current flowing where it's supposed to instead of leaking through degraded insulation into the surrounding water. That property also supports genuine oil resistance, which matters near agricultural pump houses and industrial sumps where minor oil contamination in the water is common.

For added protection, our double-insulated constructions use a primary layer of virgin-grade PVC coated with a secondary, skin-coloured PVC layer. It's a small extra step in manufacturing, but it gives the cable real margin against the abrasion and mechanical stress that comes with years of submersible use.
